This is the episode that started it all. The pilot for Friends introduces us to Ross, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Phoebe and helps us get to know who we’re going to spend ten seasons loving so much.

Everything is set up for the seasons ahead -  Ross’ awkward and adorable crush on Rachel, Monica’s man problems, Joey’s charming dim-wittedness, Chandler’s sarcasm and Phoebe’s unique world view. All the elements are present in the Friends pilot and David Schwimmer, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt Leblanc and Lisa Kudrow already appear comfortable with their characters. We fall in love with these people, and that love only grows as the series progresses.

He’s Just Not That Into You (2009)

Finally a movie that tells the truth. Ladies, we’ve all been there. We’re upset because of some guy we know we’re in love with and all our friends gather around making excuses for him – well, to make us feel better would probably be more accurate. They mean well, of course, but in the end, it only makes the situation worse. We hold out hope for lost causes far longer than we should and don’t move on. For this reason, He’s Just Not That Into You is required viewing for any woman going through a breakup or dealing with the messy emotions of what turns out to be a one night stand.

All the scenarios are covered here. The explanation, as it so often is in real life, is always the same. He’s Just Not That Into You. Say it. Feel it. Sulk over it. Get over it.

The cast is ridiculous. Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Justin Long, Gennifer Goodwin (she’s the one that looks like a million other actress.), Drew Barrymore, Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Connelly, Scarlett Johansson, Kevin Connelly and even a little cameo by Kris Kristofferson. I really don’t know what else to say about the cast. Phenomenal.

Marley & Me (2008)

Marley & Me is a love story. I don’t care what anyone says. It’s a story about love between a man a woman, parents and their children and pet owners and their furry companions. The road isn’t always smooth when we share our homes with a pet, but it’s always worth it.

This movies reminds us of that. What more could a girl ask for in a movie? Marley & Me gives us laughs, tears and most importantly, a ridiculously adorable puppy. Just make sure you have a big box of tissue (and I do mean big) for this one though, because ladies, there is no shortage of water works with this one.

Now, hey, I’m not really the type of girl that goes to pieces over a movie. It just doesn’t happen. I needed to be swept up and glued back together by the time Marley & Me was over. We’re not talking a stoic, solitary tear. We’re talking full on sobbing, gasping and whimpering.

Did I mention the gorgeous Jennifer Aniston is in this? Let’s not even talk about Owen Wilson. I think, deep down, you all agree that boy is just too adorable for words. Adorable isn’t enough for you? Two words. Eric. Dane. That man is smokin’. So hot. And a puppy. A puppy! Read more
