It has everything we love – an unassuming, quiet girl whom nobody ever pays much attention to, unless its to abuse her in some way, is swept off her feet by her dashing prince. It’s the blueprint for nearly every chick flick ever made, and it’s done so beautifully.

The animation in Cinderella is classic and timeless. Cinderella is beautiful. Her step-sisters are appropriately fugly and the prince is handsome. The little animals that help Cinderella along the way are so adorable I could just squish them with love. And the fairy godmother is so motherly and warm. Sure the actual animation is crude compared to today’s animated movies, but that’s part of the appeal.

Cinderella is a classic and if you haven’t seen it you need to seriously ask yourself why and remedy your huge oversight. Cinderella is required viewing for all women.
