The Notebook (2004)

The Notebook is the ultimate chick flick. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams - what incredible chemistry. You believe in their love and you want so badly for it to work for them. The Notebook may very well be perfect. You connect on a deeply emotional basis with the characters and in the end, you're left feeling moved. If you don't have a box of tissue on hand for this movie, you're a fool. You will need it. The cast is incredible all the way around with heartbreaking performances by James Garner and Gena Rowlands. Marley & Me (2008)

Marley & Me is a love story. I don't care what anyone says. It's a story about love between a man a woman, parents and their children and pet owners and their furry companions. The road isn't always smooth when we share our homes with a pet, but it's always worth it. This movies reminds us of that. What more could a girl ask for in a movie? Marley & Me gives us laughs, tears and most importantly, a ridiculously adorable puppy. Just make sure you have a big box of tissue (and I do mean big) for this one ...

Sweet November

I love this movie! Sweet November stars Charlize Theron as a quirky woman with a sad secret who meets a stuffy ad exec (played by Keanu Reeves) and she shows him how to loosen up and enjoy life. I don't want to give away the ending, but let's just say you'll need LOTS of Kleenex handy! Sweet November is one of those chick flicks to watch when you need a good cry, just to get it out of your system. Pass the tissue box!!

The Princess Bride

Ahhh, to be the Princess Bride! This movie came out way back in 1987, but it's still a fun movie and a classic chick flick. It also has enough rough looking guys in it doing battle that you may be able to invite your boyfriend over to watch it with you. Good luck with that! I'm STILL waiting for my Prince to come along on his horse and sweep me off my feet...*sigh*

Movies Hunks

What would a chick flick be without some movies hunks for us to look at, right ladies? I have put together a brief guide of some of my personal favorite movies hunks with my suggestions for movies you can watch right here on my Chick Flicks site! Does that sound good? I thought so!

I’ve been trying to come up with what exactly makes a movie hunk a hunk and I’ve decided it can’t be defined. There are too many elements that have to be in place, but more than anything else there has to be that special something that can’t be described. All of these men have it and so much more.

The men that I’m talking about are the men that make you gasp the moment their faces light up the screen – or their bodies in the case of McConaughey. They make you a little weak in the knees with their smile or their eyes or even their hair. They’re sexy – flat out sexy.

 Our darling beach bum, Matthew in the complete package, gorgeous face, gorgeous body and a kind of laid back, relaxed style that makes it almost impossible to imagine him angry. He just oozes a natural charm that makes him irresistible.

With the same effortless cool as the previously mentioned Mr. McConaughey, Keanu Reeves seems like the type of guy that’s never been stressed out in his life. His gorgeous cheekbones, soulful brown eyes and toned body make him nearly perfect.

I couldn’t make a list of movie hunks without Rpattz. This kid is smokin’ hot, although to be honest I prefer his regular, grungy look to the vampire makeup and prefer his music to his acting, but we’re not talking about talent here. We’re talkin’ about looks and he’s got ‘em.

Oh Mr. Efron… such a little cutie. Those eyes, that mouth, that hair… that bod. Everything about this guy is flawless. I don’t even know what more to say other than that. Although in the public eye he may have been dethroned by a certain studly vampire, Zac will always hold a special place in my heart.
