New Moon doesn’t really break any new ground and fans of the book are likely to be a little disappointed by how much the film has strayed from the book. Oh, who are we kidding? The movie has Taylor Lautner shirtless and the gorgeous-no-matter-what-he-wears Robert Pattinson so girls of all ages will love it.

Truthfully speaking, I didn’t enjoy the movie as much as I hoped, but considering how insanely excited I was to see New Moon, there was no way it could be anything other that a little disappointing. After repeated watchings I have warmed to it significantly and have found myself enjoying it much more.

If you have read the book and loved the book, prepare yourself for a completely unnecessary fight scene and Taylor Lautner shirtless for no reason other than having him appear shirtless. All and all, it’s a fun watch if not slightly too far away from the Twilight characters we know and love. I felt the same way about the first movie, though so keep that in mind.

It seems Henry suffers from some kind of rare genetic disorder that causes him to hurdle through time uncontrollably at any given moment. No, seriously…the guy lives on some kind of constantly shifting timeline and the couple never knows how long they will be seperated when he is gone or how much time they will have together when he’s back….and you thought YOU had problems with your man!! lol

The Time Traveler’s Wife stars Rachel McAdams (The Notebook) as Clare and Eric Bana as Henry.

Being Clare for like even a day would drive me crazy! I mean, think about it…you’re in love with a guy who may not even be there when you wake up in the morning! Ummm, come to think of it, uh…nevermind!

It’s hard enough to get my bf to even help with the dishes, so I can’t imagine what it would be like to be in a completely different timeline. Whoa!!

It’s the story of Cilla McGowan (Murphy) who was a former child star and now loves to restore old houses. She begins working on her grandmother’s home, to save it from falling apart, but is haunted by dreams of her and how she died many years ago.

As this tale unfolds, she becomes romantically involved with her hunky neighbor, Ford Sawyer (cool name!) and the passion begins…

Go grab some Kleenex and let’s all pay Tribute to a great actress lost while watching the film. RIP Brittany Murphy – We’ll miss you!!

The Cake Eaters was written by Jayce Bartok who also plays the completely unnecessary role of Beagle’s older brother Guy. I kept waiting for something to happen with his character that factored into the story, but it never amounted to anything. He shows up, does his thing and is in the final scene of the movie, but he really has no impact on the movie at all. Jayce gave a great performance in the movie and wrote a great script but his character seemed to be written in as an excuse to cast himself in the movie.

Aside from that, I really have no complaints about the movie. Some people are frustrated by the ending (which I won’t ruin here) but I love a movie that doesn’t wrap everything up in a neat package and lets you draw your own conclusions. If that isn’t your thing, you might want to skip The Cake Eaters.

Strengthened by great performances, The Cake Eaters is a great movie and proves Kristen Stewart has  promising career far beyond Bella Swan.

Legendary line from a legendary movie. Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Gray had a special kind of magic that rarely happens on screen. She was adorable and innocent. He was hunky and rugged – were the perfect on screen couple.

Dirty Dancing will go down in history as one of the best chick flicks ever made. It’s the perfect date movie because, secretly, guys like it too. They might not admit it, but it’s a proven fact. Proven by who? Who cares!

There are so many things to love about this movie it’s impossible to list them all here. Just watch it and love it as much as I do!

Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet is bold and visually stunning. Taking the actual Elizabethan dialogue and setting it against a modern backdrop was a brave step, but it works fantastically. There is nothing lost in translation here and that might be the biggest reason this film works so well.

Baz Luhrman took Shakepeare’s words and made them accessible for a whole new generation. Excellent movie.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet have the kind of chemistry that sets the screen on fire. We lose ourselves in Jack and Rose. Leonardo and Kate don’t exist. They play their roles flawlessly. It’s no surprise no one believed they weren’t a couple off-screen.

Titanic really has everything a girl could ask for in a chick flick – romance, drama, action, a cute boy and a weep-inducing ending. There is nothing about Titanic that doesn’t work and that’s why we all love it so much.

If you’re one of the five people on planet earth that hasn’t seen Titanic, watch it now! Right now! Get your box of tissue and your bowl of popcorn and prepare yourself for a really good cry!

The Lake House is a classic love story with a twist, which I’ll leave for you to find out by watching the movie. What I will stay is both Sandra and Keanu give incredible performances. You believe that they’re in love and you genuinely want them to find a way to be together.

I adore Keanu Reeves. I adore Sandra Bullock. I adore The Lake House. Watch it and I think you will too!

The Notebook may very well be perfect. You connect on a deeply emotional basis with the characters and in the end, you’re left feeling moved. If you don’t have a box of tissue on hand for this movie, you’re a fool. You will need it.

The cast is incredible all the way around with heartbreaking performances by James Garner and Gena Rowlands. I really can’t say enough good things about The Notebook. It’s just an incredible movie that every woman needs to watch at least once. Just don’t be surprised when you find yourself going back for seconds – and thirds, and fourths…

The Notebook may be a newer movies, but I think it will go down in history with Casablanca and Gone With the Wind as a classic love story that stands up to the test of time.

Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson are two of my favorite actresses in the whole world and they were phenomenal in Bride Wars. Their chemistry is fantastic and watching them on the screen, you really believe they’ve been friends since childhood. Even though everything goes horribly awry (which is naturally has to or we wouldn’t have a movie) you can still feel the love between them. Add Candice Bergen to the mix and you have cinematic gold.

I consider Bride Wars to be a love story above all else, but not in the boyfriend/girlfriend sort of way although there are those elements. I see it as a movie about love between best friends and how no matter what happens, the bond in that sort of relationship is forever.

Bride Wars is hysterical, dramatic and memorable. I can’t even guess how many times I’ve watched it, but I love it more every time. Putting Kate and Anne together on screen was a fantastic idea and I hope to see them together again in the future. A great Girl’s Night In movie.
